From Rebrand to Radiance: The Timeless Elegance of Moelle Essentials

How Doyinsola Ogbeifun is redefining occasion wear with a focus on fit, femininity, and confidence

When you meet Doyinsola Ogbeifun, founder of Moelle Essentials, there’s an instant calm that draws you in, the kind that comes from someone who understands grace, structure, and the quiet power of confidence.

Her journey into fashion wasn’t a loud or impulsive one. It was built over time, shaped by observation, curiosity, and an ever-present desire to create clothes that make women feel as good as they look.

A Pause, A Rebirth

Moelle Essentials first came to life in 2018, born from Doyinsola’s vision to design elegant, well-fitted pieces for women of all shapes and sizes. But as with most creative journeys, there was a moment of pause — a three-year break that became a period of reflection and rediscovery.

In 2022, Moelle Essentials returned rebranded, refocused, and ready to redefine occasion wear.

The brand found its rhythm again, this time with a clearer purpose: to celebrate diverse body types through elegant, accessible designs that don’t compromise on quality or comfort.

Fashion That Fits Every Woman

Walk into Moelle Essentials’ world, and you’ll find pieces that speak of balance, classic yet modern, bold yet feminine. From flowing dresses that move like poetry to structured fits that celebrate the body’s natural silhouette, every design is made to make women stand tall.

Whether you’re petite, curvy, or tall, Moelle offers both ready-to-wear (RTW) and made-to-measure pieces. The goal? To eliminate the struggle of finding occasionwear that truly fits.

As Doyinsola puts it,

“Elegance should never be a privilege. It should be accessible — and it should fit.”

The Moelle Woman

The Moelle woman knows her worth. She loves sophistication without shouting it. She values quality but also seeks versatility. And above all, she wears her confidence like her favourite dress effortlessly.

Every piece by Moelle Essentials is designed with that woman in mind. From the first sketch to the final stitch, Doyinsola ensures that comfort, style, and precision go hand-in-hand.

Redefining Occasionwear

Moelle Essentials has carved a niche in occasionwear, reimagining what it means to dress up. It’s not just about sequins or silhouettes; it’s about emotion. The feeling of slipping into a dress that fits perfectly. The quiet excitement of looking in the mirror and saying, Yes, this is me.

With elegant fabrics, timeless cuts, and detail-oriented craftsmanship, Moelle’s creations are meant to stay in your wardrobe, and your memory for years to come.

The Future of Moelle

As Moelle Essentials continues to grow, one thing remains clear: the brand isn’t chasing trends — it’s setting a standard.

It’s about creating clothes that tell stories of women who rise, reinvent, and walk into every room like it was designed for them.

And in that story, Moelle Essentials isn’t just making dresses. It’s making statements — one confident woman at a time.

How do you Respond when a client says “I’ll get back to you”

How to respond when a client says I'll call you back

“I’ll get back to you”

Five dreaded words every salesperson hates to hear. Especially after you just spent 20 hours calling, and nurturing this client.

Then voila! They drop the bombshell.

How do you respond?

Some horrible responses to that line are:

“Oh Okay, I’ll be waiting to hear back from you”- When? Probably Never. Because those prospects will most likely not call back.

“Alright. When can I call back?”– In the prospect’s head, he’ll think ”Maybe, Never”

Well before responding hastily ( and losing the client all together), you must try to understand why the prospect used that line. The reason could be one of three:

  1. Prospect does not trust your product:

Think about it: It’s much easier for a prospect to say “I’ll get back to you”, than to say “Hi! I think your product sucks and I don’t want to waste my money”

  2. Prospect needs more time to make findings:

Some prospects aren’t going to base their decisions on some things you have told them. Instead, they would rather make their own findings, check out the competition, and weigh their options before making a decision.

3. They’re probably not the “Final say” in the hierarchy of the company’s affairs.

So, they will have to report to a “Higher Authority before making the decision to buy your product or service.

Response 1: Frontal

In my experience, whenever a prospect tells me that, it’s either of 3 things (Proceed to paraphrase 3 reasons mentioned above). Which one of them is it right now?

What that response yields: Complete honesty. It’ll help you understand the prospect’s state of mind, and will give clarity on how to proceed from there.

Response 2: Defensive

X, I understand why you may need to take some time to rethink this. But let’s be honest with each other. The longer time you take making a good decision for your business, the longer that problem you’ve been trying to manage stays. Tell you what, why don;t you take XXX advice (give a free tip) and apply this to your business. I’ll be waiting for your feedback …

What this response yields: You have just reduced your prospect’s “think about it” time, without coercion, and helped him out at the same time. Chances are that you’ll be hearing from him soon.

Response 3:  Vulnerability

X, I really appreciate your taking time to hear me out. From your response, it might seem that I haven’t exactly communicated the value you’ll be getting from us well. So, why don’t you tell me what you would have loved to hear, that would have helped make a better decision?

What this response yields: Again, you’ll take honest feedback which will help out …

Remember: These responses may not yield the results you desire all the time  It’ll however, help you perfect your sales skill, and help you work on areas that need adjustment.

Which of these responses are you planning to use?

Mother Nature’s : Victoria Falls

victoria-falls-1

Mother Nature’s : Victoria FallsThis Mother Nature’s : Victoria Falls generate mists that can be spotted from more than a dozen miles (20 kilometers) away. The mists also sustain a rain forest-like ecosystem adjacent to the falls and on the opposite cliff that faces them like a dried-up mirror image, thick with mahogany, fig, palm, and other species of vegetation.

Stone artifacts from the hominin Homo habilis have been identified near the falls and show that early humans may have lived here two million years ago. More “modern” tools also evidence far more recent—50,000 years ago—Middle Stone Age settlements.

Today several hundred thousand visitors from around the world trek to the falls each year; several hotels, restaurants, campgrounds, and other tourist businesses cater to them.

The beauty of the falls lies in their natural state, but the area is at some risk of runaway tourism-based development—more resorts, hotels, and even a possible dam below the falls that could flood several park gorges. Operators in the area offer everything from helicopter overflights to bungee jumping, and the management of these activities while preserving a quality visitor experience for all is an ongoing challenge.

Island on the Edge

Victoria Falls - livingstone-island-victoria-falls-1

How to Get There

Most visitors visit from either Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe) or Maramba (Zambia), where complete tourist facilities exist. Each town is accessible by road, rail, and air.

When to Visit

The river is typically in full flood during February and March, when as much as 540 million cubic meters of water fall over the edge every single minute. During the rainy season, however, the spray plume can obscure the view of the falls themselves. By November, when the water is at low ebb, visitors may see the curtain split into many smaller channels of falling water.

How to Visit

The falls are massive and invite contemplation from many different viewpoints. Trails invite you to walk around the area and enjoy vistas. Unique views are also to be had from the Knife Edge Bridge and Victoria Falls Bridge. River-level views from below the falls are a good way to experience their power up-close. At certain times of the year the daring may even swim in pools on the very crest of the cataract.

Cute African Names And Their Meaning

Cute African Names And Their Meaning

In Western cultures, we tend to choose names that are perhaps historical, or have been passed down in our families, or represent characters we loved in pieces of literature. But in many African cultures, parents choose names for their children with very strong, complex meanings. Here are 10 totally amazing African names you’ll want to name your children.

Azubuike

This is a name you’ll find a lot in the Igbo language of Western Africa. It means “the past is your strength” or “unity, the past is your strength” implying the generations that came in this family before this baby have built up strength for the baby.

Tendaj

Your baby could grow up to be a great entrepreneur if you give him or her this name. Tendaji means “makes things happen” in Swahili.

Ebele

If you like the name “Bell” or “Bella” but want something more unique, you can get the same sound from this name, but with a very cool meaning: Ebele means “mercy” and “kindness” and is from the Igbo language. –

Katlego

This name is from the Twsana language, spoken in southern Africa. It means “success,” which is probably something you thought when you finally finished hours of labour — but also you can pass on good luck and success to your baby.

Monifa

If you want to steer away from Monica but like some of the sounds, Monifa has a wonderful meaning: it means “I am lucky.” The name comes from the Yoruba culture of southwestern Nigeria and Benin.

Nkiruka

It can be shortened to just “Nki” (pronounced Nikki) as a nickname. It means “the best is still to come” or “the future is bright” in the Igbo language.

Nneka

If you want to remind your child to pay his or her mother respect, name him or her Nneka which means “my mother is supreme” in Igbo.

Omolara

If you’ve been estranged from your family, or perhaps were put up for adoption as a child and have been looking to build your own family, you’ll love the name Omolara. It means “a child is family” in the Yoruba culture.

Sekai

Sekai comes from the Shona people living in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The name means “be humorous.”

Tamrat

You could call your child “Tammy” for short. The name Tamrat comes from Amharic, a Semitic language spoken in Ethiopia. It means “Miracle.”

What To Keep In Mind When Running Discount Sales

It’s that time of the year again, when offering Discounts becomes the song on every business owners lips. And that’s not such a bad thing. On the good side, Discount sales are a great way to make more sales, while bringing in new customers.

On the flip side, a Discount sale can hurt your business really badly as it can lower your perceived value, as well as leave huge holes in your company’s pocket.

So, what do you do to ensure that discount sales work for you?

1. Strategize

Just before you run off slashing 30% off your product price, think.

What is the strategy for this discount tactic?
Is it to bring in more sales?
Or to get rid of old stock? To acquire new customers?
Or to retain present customers?

Having a thought out strategy will make it easier to run a discount without harming your business.

2. Do the Math

Have you worked out the financial projections for this discount sale?

What is your expected revenue?

What percentage are you spending on Marketing/ Advertising?

What is the financial risk?

What is the back up plan?

The importance of crunching the numbers just before you start a discount sale cannot be overemphasized (not to sound cliche, lol)

3. Plan

Now, you’ve figured out the strategy, and the numbers are looking good. But you can’t run a successful discount without an actual marketing Plan.

And by “plan”, if you’re relying solely on posting on Instagram, you might need to have a rethink. That’s not to say “that” doesn’t work, but imagine using other channels: Email Marketing, Influencer marketing, paid advertising, Cold mailing/ Calling etcetera.

Planning really does make all the difference, don’t you think?

It’s a way to say to Impostor Syndrome “You say, you’ve I’m not good enough, but look at all that I’ve been able to do”.

What Is The #ENDSARS Protest? And How Can You Support The Movement?

ENDSARS PROTEST
WHAT WAS THE SARS UNIT SET UP FOR?

“SARS is one of the 14 units in the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department which was established to detain, investigate and prosecute people involved in crimes like armed robbery, kidnapping and other forms of crimes.”- Wikipedia

It started out as a faceless, 15-member team that traveled in two unmarked buses, its officers often wearing neither uniforms nor name tags. At first, this anonymity helped them successfully thwart crime. However, as the force began to grow, their unidentifiable nature served as an enabler to reckless behavior.

WHY WAS THE SARS UNIT ASKED TO BE DISBANDED?

The SARS unit has been accused of targeting young people who appear well-dressed, shaking them down for money, and torturing and abusing and even killing those who resist. Amnesty International says it documented more than 82 cases of abuse and extrajudicial killings by SARS officers from January 2017 to this May.

And these are only cases that have made it to the records. There are several alleged unrecorded cases of severe police brutality on Nigerian Youths.  At first, this anonymity helped them successfully thwart crime. However, as the force began to grow, their unidentifiable nature served as an enabler to reckless behavior. The SARS unit has been accused of targeting young people who appear well-dressed, shaking them down for money, and torturing and abusing and even killing those who resist.

There are claims that some youths have been thrown in jail by SARS officials for refusing to concede to their illegal demands. A report states that 1 out of every 5 youths between ages 18-35 has been harassed, extorted by the rogue SARS unit.

WHAT IS THE #ENDSARS PROTEST?

On October 10, 2020, Nigerian Youths decided to take the online protest to the streets. They had had enough of the faux promises to disband SARS and wanted their voices to be heard. The protest kicked off in Lagos and has now spread to several parts of the country.

HOW HAS THE GOVERNMENT RESPONDED TO THIS MENACE?

In 2017, the Federal Government attempted to disband SARS, but to no avail.

In 2018, the same move was made, but with little or no success.

In 2019, IGP Mohammed Adamu ordered the immediate “decentralization” of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

Did this move work? You guessed right, it didn’t.

WHAT DO THE NIGERIAN YOUTHS WANT?

Here’s is the 5-point demand by Nigerians without which the protest won’t end.

End SARS

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
  1. Get Informed Educate yourself and stay updated on news about the protest (Check out theslackactivists for more information)
  2. DONATE-The Feminist Coalition has all the information you need should you want to donate monetarily. You can also donate your skill-artwork, medical expertise, music etcetera
  3. PROTEST-Lend your voice to the cause either online or physically. You can also do both. If you’re protesting online, ensure to share only verified information. Don’t forget to use the #ENDSARS hashtag.

Please stay safe and cautious at these times while we fight against this gross injustice.

Meet Tunji Funso

Dr. Funsho, a cardiologist based in Lagos, Nigeria, is the first Rotary member to receive the honour of “TIMES 100” for the organisation’s work to eradicate polio, having played an essential role in ensuring Africa’s certification as wild polio-free in August of 2020.

The leader of Rotary’s Nigeria National PolioPlus Committee, who doubles as a member of Nigeria’s Presidential Task Force on Polio, has worked tirelessly on various fronts to champion the eradication of polio in Nigeria and Africa in general.

As the leader of Rotary’s Nigeria National PolioPlus Committee, Funsho has worked alongside Rotary members throughout the country to raise awareness about the importance of polio immunization, encouraged governments and public figures to support polio eradication, and served as a vocal leader and advocate for Rotary’s fight to end polio in Africa. (This Day Live)

I’m honoured to be recognised by TIME for my part in ensuring that no child in Africa will ever again be paralysed by wild polio, a disease that once disabled 75,000 African children every single year,” said Dr. Funsho. “Eradicating the wild poliovirus in Africa was a team effort that required cooperation and dedication of governments, partners, Rotary members, hundreds of thousands of health workers, and countless parents who chose to have their children vaccinated against polio,” he added.

We are so proud of Africans who through their good works keep the spotlight shining on Africa. Their achievements are definitely worth celebrating.
