Aso-Oke is a short form of Aso Ilu Oke also known as Aso-Ofi meaning clothes from the up-country. It is the traditional wear of the Yoruba’s (the tribe of the southwest people in Nigeria, Africa). (more…)
I am not too big on jewelry, but it is very important to me that any piece of jewelry I have to put on, is elegant and has just the right amount of lustre. It is very important to understand how jewelry works with your outfits, as they can either overshadow your entire look or may be covered by the design and color of the clothes. (more…)
Clothes! does anyone ever have enough clothes? In-fact if you are anything like me, you probably have three large boxes, and you always never have anything to wear to work, or school, or church or even to go out and get ice cream. (more…)

African print materials are quite distinct and beautiful in its sense. And why we Africans seem to be so in love with it the formal corporate wears than the creators is quite interesting.

Africa is a beautiful continent, so great in culture and heritage. Little wonder foreigners had to come carry her people to their countries to try replicate some of the beauty which they found in her land. Thanks to the politically aired media programs or views, some part of Africa has been put in the news continuously as war zones, poverty stricken or terrorist filled places. I was going through a thread on twitter recently where I saw that even the black Americans and co, still believe that Africans live in caves, with no means of electricity or modern communication. sigh!
I love looking good, don’t you? So I always come up with ways to add something simple to spice my outfit. I got so engrossed looking for reverso pieces (pieces that never go out of style and yet still standout) at one point that I almost had a nervous breakdown (just kidding). You know how you have that one shoe, blazer or pants that go with almost every clothing in your wardrobe right? *winks*. Now you get me.
