When it comes to giving gift cards in Nigeria…most especially to my significant other .. Wow! I rack my brain for days endlessly. Social media has not made it any easier, with the stunts people pull (guys in most cases), you begin to wonder if you are indeed living or just merely existing. Instagram stories and twitter bloggers, not necessarily the gift givers, but the unpaid hype men.
I have always liked the idea of a DIY, helps to show my creative side. I discovered it back in high school.. honestly a lack in a desired urgent need births innovation from within. Thanks to impulsive buying at times, or overuse of some choice clothing, I end up having a pile of unused clothes neatly arranged for trashing.
With faint memories from the 90’s, the top notch decor in a home then was; a welcome mat, a rug, a 14′ television set, 4/5 sofa’s symmetrically arranged to fit the parlor, and pictures. If you did not have this standard decor set-up in your parlor in the 90’s, deep down you would know something was missing.
Tie Dye, thought to be an African originated fabric was actually discovered at about 6,000 plus years ago in distant Asia. Most African kids at one point of their curriculum would have come across the tie-dyeing class, and honestly it was not my favorite, but I could not resist the outcome of my little experiment…Splendid!
