At the end of every year there is always a strong urge to reflect on the just concluded year. Firstly grateful to God for the good and the bad and planning in advance for the year to come. Thankful to my husband, my family, my staff (Gbemi & Dora), my mentors (Prince Adeyemi Adefulu, Mr Lanre Adisa, Mrs Joyce Akpata, Mr Segun Awolowo and much more), friends, destiny helpers, all verified business owners and you. Thank you for supporting Bellafricana through this year. This post is basically to give you an highlight of how year 2017 was for us at Bellafricana. It was truly an amazing year for the brand.

Reposted from @nicnaxgranola - It's been a while since we done a woman crush! But this write up by #profitablemanufacturer @bolaadefila deserves plenty accolades!! 🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏 . So let me share my story! . So in 2015 (6/7 months after I started #Granolaloves (old name) ) I started stocking about 7 stores. After about 3 months when I was looking for money to buy raw materials etc, I realised that I have stock in XYZ stores and nothing had come in yet! In some instances they had sold out but holding onto the money or it was on SOR and hadn't moved.
HA! I was like see wahala 🙆🏽♀️, on one hand I had visibility and on the other tied up money. What do I do?? I looked at their sales turnover over a period and cut down on stores!!! I then employed another strategy of letting people suggest stores to me than go to random stores. It worked, we would still observe trends etc and adjust as necessary . Fast forward 2019, we have since changed our sales strategy (which is working for us) but this was after learning the hard way. Then I didn't have #profitablemanufacturer to give me manufacturing & sales tips!! We still canvass some key stores though but we run a pilot first before committing ourselves fully.
LESSON LEARNT: 1) CASH FLOW IS KING IN Manufacturing! 2) There are ways to get into these stores without tying up your capital! But it involves building structure & developing your brand 1st!! And NO, we are not in @shoprite or @sparng yet because we are still building capacuty but soon.... As @bolaadefila said, The Ultimate is for you to smile to the bank and not counting locations with no tangible results. -
