[dropcap custom_class=”normal”] Surprisingly, I visited Ghana for the first time last year, July 2014. Since, Bellafricana was birthed, I have grown very fond of exploring everything African, from destinations to arts & crafts and many more. I was there for a week with my Mr and we had a swell time. I don’t remember all the fine details but I sure saved you some pictures. [/dropcap]
We got on the plane from Lagos Muritala Mohammed Airport and arrived at Kotoka International Airport Accra, Ghana. Took us under an hour journey. We had booked an hotel from Nigeria, but on getting to Ghana, we realised the hotel was far from town and airport.
We changed hotels after viewing like 6 hotels, we settled for ‘The swan hotel, Accra Ghana’. It had a modern interior, wifi connections and close to town…
What our room was like…
Off to the beach we went, but first stop local marketplace (happy Bukky, supportive Tobi)…
Some entertainers on the beach…
And so we met a very kind driver who took us on a drive to some tourist points in Accra, Ghana…
Time to go, Ghana was so relaxing and fun. Not as fast paced as Nigeria, we rested very well. The people are welcoming and easy going, and I met talented local artisans. I also have great Ghanaian friends..
I will definitely be back sometime soon, especially for more arts, crafts, textiles and relaxation…
If you haven’t been to Ghana yet, you should consider going there soon!
