What is the MaIN Idea?
The “Made-In-Nigeria (MaIN) Idea” is a private sector-driven initiative that seeks to create a platform for the maximum expression of the true Nigerian spirit; the spirit of enterprise and industry; of commerce and community; of tenacity and resilience and; of creative ingenuity for the development of our great nation.
The organisers’ objective is to enhance innovation and creativity. They want to promote a “buy-Nigeria” culture, just like we are focused on doing at Bellafricana. And you can see some of our Bellafricana Verified Made In Nigeria merchants HERE.
The week-long event has been divided into 3 major sections; the exhibition (expo), the summit and the supremacy.
The Exhibition
The exhibition section will showcase various creative Made In Nigeria brands. You can expect to see creativity in fashion, food, creative professionals will also be exhibiting their services too.

The Summit
The Summit is an exclusive and premier platform for government leaders, private sector and industry experts to address the “Made-In-Nigeria” economy, explore opportunities, exchange innovative ideas and forge new partnerships.
It would be held under the distinguished chairmanship of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) GCON. The summit will be attended by over 400 delegates from the 26th to 29th of September 2016.
Discussions on several sectors of the Nigerian Economy will be held. Thought leaders from across Nigeria and the world would be in attendance also. They will share insights and strategies fostering innovation and business growth.
Also, the summit’s panel discussions would review proposals that will shape a sustainable economic development agenda for our great country, with private sector leading the charge.

SUPREMACY
The Peak of he MaIN event is the Supremacy Concert holding live on Independence Day, 1st October 2016. The concert will begin from 6pm in the evening.
You can expect to see live performance by phenomenal artists such as King Sunny Ade, Asa, Tuface, Dbanj and Wizkid. This will be holding at Eko Atlantic City, V.I, Lagos Nigeria.
The SUPREMACY, like its name suggests boasts to be a world-class audio-visual experience featuring Nigeria’s top 5 performance artistes in a never-seen-before performance. These artists have been creatively termed according to their stage names and appellations by the very creative brains behind this event.
I just had to put that in. Sincerely, I think the team that came up with the name of the event, the designs and so much more are super creative. You guys are bae! You rock!!
The terms given to the artists respectively are The King, The Eagle, The Enigma, The Master and The Whizz. Where you have King Sunny Ade as the The King, Asa as The Eagle,Tuface Idibia as The Enigma, Dbanj as The Master (Koko Master) and Wizkid as The Whizz.
For optimum satisfaction for the attendees, this concert that proves to be a revolutionary event will not be televised.
The Supremacy concert is a live, musical concert experience featuring non-stop never before seen music performances from the Top 5 proudly Made-in-Nigeria music artistes. King Sunny Ade (The King), Asa (The Eagle),Tuface (The Enigma), Dbanj (The Master), Wizkid (The Whizz).
It is also one of the activities of the week-long Made-in-Nigeria Festival also taking place at the same venue as the rest of the showcase that will be held in the preceding 6 days, 26th – 30th of September at the Iconic Eko Atlantic City, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
