[dropcap custom_class=”normal”] The 2016 Lagos International Trade Fair is organised by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry. This edition of the international trade fair also celebrates the 30th anniversary of the fair.
The Fair which is staged with the support and co-operation of the Federal and the State Governments covers all aspects of business and economic activities in Nigeria. It offers a unique exposition for manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and users of a wide range of goods and services as well as opportunities for investment and trade promotion.

There are 4 sides to the fair, these are;
The General Interest Fair: The General Interest Fair will take place at the Main Arena, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos in Lagos, Nigeria with a total exhibition space of over 40,000m2. It will extend through Friday, 4th of November to Sunday, 13th November, 2016
The Business to Business(B2B) Exhibition: The Business to Business(B2B) Exhibition will take place at the Eko Hotels & suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. It will hold from Monday, 7th to Friday, 11th November 2016.
Lagos Creative Industry Fair “Eko Akete”: The Lagos Creative Industry Fair “Eko Akete” will be holding in various venues all over Lagos. The Eko Akete will commence from Friday 4th and will round up on Sunday 13th November, 2016.
The Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF) Investment Conference: The LITF Investment Conference will be holding at the Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos form the 8th to 9th of November 2106.
Objectives of The Lagos International Trade Fair
The main objectives of the Fair are to promote the following:
(a) The revitalisation and diversification of the Nigerian economy;
(b) Nigeria’s non-oil exports;
(c) Accelerated development of commerce and industry;
(d) Made-in-Nigeria products;
(e) Agriculture and agro-based industry;
(f) The evolution of Nigeria’s trade with the outside world;
(g) Direct attention to the role of the private sector in the Nigerian economy; and
(h) Prospects for foreign and local investments in strategic areas.

It is anticipated that the Lagos international trade fair will attract about 500,000 visitors from within and outside the Country including businessmen, investors, customers, top government officials and representatives of Nigeria’s important trading houses and those seeking joint-venture partnerships.
