Gbenga Dada is the creative powerhouse of Cosmopolitan jewelry brand, Gbenga Artsmith Collections. An accessory brand dedicated to crafting beautiful jewelry for men and women. The brand was officially launched in 2008 and since then, Artsmith Collections has been making excellent statements in the world of jewelry designing.

Gbenga Artsmith is driven by a passion to excel against impossibilities and to inspire young people for success in life. Gbenga’s work has received a substantial amount of media attention from publications/platforms such as Genevieve magazine, Gem magazine, Bellanaija, Business Day, Punch Newspapers and TV shows such as Ebony Life TV’s “Moments with Mo” and NTA’s “Sugar and Spice” to mention a few. His jewelry pieces have been seen on eminent personalities like Hon. Abike Dabiri, Iretiola Doyle, Chief (Mrs.) Nike Okundaye Davies, Chief (Mrs.) Oprah Benson and many more.

In addition to being a jewelry designer, Gbenga Dada is also a fashion stylist, creative writer and bridal consultant. In the past, he had worked with Tribe and Elan Online magazine and Olisa Tv, where he had a brief stint as a fashion journalist. Gbenga is a member of the Fashion Designers’ Association of Nigeria (FADAN) and is committed to revolutionizing the practice of jewelry making in Nigeria.

Early this year, Gbenga Artsmith Collections released “NECKTAR,” its first collection for 2018 which was green-themed in commemoration of the Cerebral Palsy awareness month. Gbenga Dada’s brand, being socially-conscious, brought together 17 celebrities and influencers from different walks of life to lend their voices to cerebral palsy, a congenital disorder of movement, muscle tone and posture. The lookbook features stars like Omawumi and Jodie, media personalities like Bolanle Olukanni and BellaNaija‘s Eki Ogunbor, fashion designers, consultants and many more – who all looked stunning rocking chic jewelry pieces handcrafted from semi-precious stones and non-tarnish findings. Each piece was created with the personalities of the wearers in mind. View some of the pieces below.

All pieces in this collection were created by disadvantaged young women from Makoko who are presently interning with Gbenga Artsmith. Towards the cause, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of pieces from the “NECKTAR” collection was designated to select Cerebral Palsy foundations.
